Junk Removal Advertising: Google, Local Services, Facebook and Nextdoor Ads That Fill the Truck Calendar

Updated October 2026 · Written and maintained by the Progression Agency strategy team

Junk removal advertising is paid placement that puts a hauling company in front of people who need something gone: search ads and Local Services Ads when they look for help, Facebook, Instagram and Nextdoor ads before they look, and postcards and truck lettering in the streets the crews already drive. It is for owner-operators with one truck, companies running several crews and franchise territory owners, and it produces booked pickups at a cost per job the owner can read by channel. Progression Agency is based in New York City and works with clients across the United States and worldwide.

The short answerPaid ads for a hauler work when each campaign sells one kind of job in the towns the trucks can reach the same week, the phone is answered whenever ads run, and every call and photo quote is tied back to a booked job. Google search and Local Services Ads catch people who are ready to book; Meta and Nextdoor sell cleanouts and move-out jobs before anyone searches; direct mail and the trucks keep the name in front of the same streets. Success is measured in cost per booked job and revenue per load, never in clicks. Search campaigns can produce calls within days of launch, while Local Services screening averages three to four weeks after documents are submitted, according to Google.

Google, Meta, Nextdoor, USPS, FTC, EPA and FMCSA rules are described as published in October 2026 and can change; nothing on this page is legal advice. Price figures are published US price bands from Progression’s paid media and lead generation pages, labeled as market figures, plus Progression’s own published landing page and social package prices; a quote follows a written scope.

What does junk removal advertising include?

It covers every paid way a hauler buys attention: Google search ads, Local Services Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, Nextdoor, direct mail and the trucks themselves. The skill is putting each dollar where the job it buys is worth more than the job costs.

Our junk removal marketing page sets out the whole program, including SEO, the Business Profile, reviews and the website. This page stays on the paid side: how the accounts are built, how leads are charged, which rules touch hauling ads and what the work costs.

Which junk removal jobs are worth paying to win?

The ones whose average ticket and booking rate leave a margin after the ad cost. A single mattress and a full estate cleanout are both junk removal, but they deserve different budgets, landing pages and bids.

Single items

Couches, refrigerators, mattresses and hot tubs are booked fast and often by phone. They suit tight search campaigns with a clear price signal and a booking window, and they lose money if the minimum charge is not visible before the call.

Full loads and cleanouts

Garages, basements, attics and storage units carry larger tickets and usually start with a photo quote. These campaigns can afford higher bids because one booked load pays for many clicks.

Estate and downsizing work

A family clearing a parent’s house wants patience, donation options and someone who answers questions. Ads and pages for this work should read calm and careful, and a person, not a bot, should pick up the phone.

Construction and renovation debris

Contractors and homeowners in the middle of a remodel need debris gone on a schedule. Some become repeat buyers, so the value of a first job includes the next ten.

Commercial and property turns

Office cleanouts, retail fixtures and apartment turns are bought by managers who want an invoice, a certificate of insurance and a crew that shows up on time. Search ads plus a page written for them beat consumer copy.

Job types, why they are worth bidding on, and the proof the landing page needs
Job typeWhy it can carry ad spendProof the page must show
Single item pickupHigh booking rate and short sales cycleMinimum charge and the next open window
Full load cleanoutLarger ticket from one visitLoad-size price ranges and a photo quote form
Estate cleanoutWhole-house volume, often with donationHow items are sorted, donated and recycled
Renovation debrisRepeat work from the same contractorWeight limits, materials accepted, scheduling
Commercial cleanoutInvoices and recurring property workInsurance details, crew size, after-hours service
Appliance removalCommon single-item requestHow refrigerants are handled before disposal
Single item: One couch, one fridge, one mattress. Fast booking, small ticket.
Full load: Garage, basement or attic cleanout. Larger ticket, photo quote.
Estate: A whole house after a death or move. Family decides, often by phone.
Move-out: Leftovers when a lease ends. Deadline driven, end of month.
Debris: Renovation and demolition waste. Contractors buy it again.
Commercial: Offices, stores, property turns. Managers want invoices.

Build one campaign for each job type that has its own price and its own landing page, aim each at the towns your trucks can reach the same week, and block the searches that never become paid jobs. That structure is what lets you bid more for a cleanout than for a single chair.

Campaigns by job type and territory

Single items, full loads, estate work, debris and commercial each get their own campaign or budget, so a cheap single-item click never spends the cleanout money. Franchise and multi-territory operators add a split by territory so each truck’s area carries its own budget.

Location settings that match the trucks

Google’s location targeting options default to Presence or interest, which also reaches people who have only shown interest in your towns. The Presence option reaches only people who are in, or regularly in, those places. For a hauler that cannot drive an hour for a mattress, Presence is usually the safer start; people arranging a cleanout for a parent who lives in your area are the reason to test the default later.

Negative keywords that protect the budget

Free pickup, landfill hours, dumpster sizes you do not rent, scrap metal buyers, junk car buyers, jobs and hiring, and do-it-yourself searches all eat money. Google’s negative keyword guide notes that negatives do not match close variants, so add plurals and spelling variants yourself.

Ad text that answers the first question

People want to know three things: how soon, roughly how much and whether you take this item. Put a pickup window, a price signal such as a minimum charge, and the items you handle in the headlines, and keep every claim true on the landing page.

Call assets and lead forms

Google’s call assets add a call button on phones, can be scheduled to show only when someone can answer, and with call reporting turned on use a Google forwarding number to count calls. Lead form assets collect details inside the ad on Search and Performance Max campaigns; they need a linked privacy policy, and Google keeps those leads for 60 days, so connect them to your CRM by webhook or Zapier rather than downloading them by hand.

Our search engine advertising page covers how accounts are managed day to day, and are Google Ads worth it walks through the arithmetic for a small budget.

Junk removal PPC: bidding, budgets and the calendar

Bid toward booked jobs and revenue, not toward form fills, and move budget with the calendar: raise it when crews have open days, pull it back when the schedule is full.

Tell bidding what a real job looks like

Automated bidding chases whatever you call a conversion. If that is every form, it finds cheap forms. Google’s enhanced conversions for leads send a hashed email or phone number from your form, and when the lead books you upload the same hashed detail from your CRM, so Google can match each hauled load to the click that started it.

Calls that count

Count a call from an ad as a conversion only once it passes a minimum length you choose in Google’s call conversion settings. Website call conversions also need call reporting turned on. Short hang-ups and wrong numbers should not train the bidding.

Budgets that follow open crew days

Junk removal demand moves with spring cleaning, the end of the month when leases turn over, summer moves and the weeks after holidays. Read your own booking history for the pattern, then raise budgets ahead of it while there is still room on the schedule.

When to pause instead of cutting bids

If every truck is booked for the next ten days, pausing single-item campaigns is better than buying calls you will turn away. Keep commercial and estate campaigns running if they book further ahead.

Local Services Ads for junk removal companies

Google lists Junk removal as its own Local Services category, described as professionals who remove and dispose or donate appliances, waste, furniture or other items. Haulers that pass screening appear in a separate block on many local searches and pay for leads rather than clicks.

What Google checks before ads run

The screening and verification requirements for the category list a business check and an owner check, business registration checks, general liability insurance and state business and owner licenses where local law requires them, each for select users. Advertisers also need a public, verified Google Business Profile. Google says screening averages three to four weeks after documents are submitted.

The Google Verified badge

Google’s screening process page describes a review of signals at signup that can make an advertiser eligible for accelerated verification and the Google Verified badge quickly, followed by 14 days to complete further steps and regular re-evaluation after that.

How are junk removal leads charged?

Google’s page on how leads are charged counts answered calls, missed calls in business hours where the caller stays on the line for more than 20 seconds, and messages as valid leads. Contact from the same number or email within 15 days is not charged again, and charged leads are reassessed over 30 days, with automatic credits for some found to be low quality, duplicate or invalid.

Local service ads vs Google Ads search: which comes first?

For most haulers the honest answer is both, started in a set order. Search campaigns can go live within days and leave you in charge of keywords, ad text and the landing page; Local Services waits on screening and then bills per valid lead instead of per click. File the screening paperwork the same week the search build begins, then compare the two on cost per booked job once both run.

Local Services is moving into Google Ads

Google is moving Local Services campaigns into Google Ads as a Performance Max campaign type built for pay-per-lead goals. The first phase began in August 2026 for select home and storefront service advertisers in the United States; service-area businesses follow in late 2026 and remaining categories in 2027. Google’s page does not name junk removal in the first phase, so check your own account for its date. Billing stays per valid lead, ads stay on Search and Maps, and a Leads page replaces the old inbox.

Local Services needs a verified Business Profile, and Google’s Business Profile guidelines ask service-area businesses to hide a home address, keep one profile for the central office with a service area, and keep that area within about two hours of driving, with some exceptions. Our Google Business Profile optimization page covers the rest of the profile.

Should junk removal ads show prices?

Show enough to set expectations: a minimum charge, load-size bands or a starting price for common items. A visible price filters out people looking for free pickup and raises the share of calls that book.

Price signals that work in an ad

A minimum pickup charge, a starting price for a single item, or a range for a quarter, half and full truck. Keep the wording exact on the landing page; an ad that promises one figure and a page that shows another loses the click and the trust.

Free estimates, honestly framed

Free on-site or photo estimates are a fair offer when they are truly free and without obligation. Say what decides the final price (volume, weight, stairs, special items) so the number on the day matches what the customer expected.

Same-day and next-day claims

Promise a pickup window only where the schedule can deliver it. Run same-day copy on campaigns you can switch off when the trucks fill, and keep a softer offer for the busy weeks.

Facebook ads for junk removal: selling cleanouts before anyone searches

Meta reaches people in your towns before they decide to call anyone, which suits garage cleanouts, move-out deadlines, estate work and seasonal pushes. It rarely beats search for the urgent single item, so give it the jobs that people plan.

Creative that shows the work

Short before-and-after videos of your own crews and trucks, a garage emptied in an afternoon, a donation drop-off: real footage builds more trust than stock photos and helps people recognize the truck later. Keep the business name and phone visible in the video, not only in the caption. In junk removal Facebook ads, a crew member talking to the camera for ten seconds reads as local in a way a designed graphic cannot.

Lead ads or a landing page

Meta’s lead ads offer verification tools such as confirming a phone number by SMS passcode and can connect to a CRM or Meta’s Leads Center. Forms that are easy to fill are also easy to fill casually, so send each lead to the CRM at once and call back within minutes, or send people to a photo quote page instead.

Audiences without guesswork

Start with a radius or the ZIP codes your trucks serve, keep targeting broad and let the creative find the audience, then retarget people who visited the pricing or quote page. Our Facebook ads agency page explains the platform in depth, and Google Ads vs Facebook Ads compares the two.

Hiring crew members is a special ad category

Job ads run under Meta’s employment special ad category. For US advertisers that means ages fixed at 18 to 65+, no choice of gender, no ZIP code targeting and a location area of at least a 15 mile radius, with limited detailed targeting. Plan spring hiring ads with those limits in mind.

Nextdoor ads for haulers

Nextdoor puts an ad in the neighborhood feed where people already ask each other who can haul away a couch. Its self-serve ads target ZIP codes or a radius and run on a daily budget.

How the ads are set up

Nextdoor’s page on its new ads describes a radius slider of up to 30 miles that highlights the ZIP codes it includes, a daily budget with campaign length, starter plans that recur, and a quick approval before an ad goes live. Older Local Deals were converted to ZIP code targeting and a daily budget.

Three ad goals

Website visits use an image ad with a headline, a square photo, a call to action and a link. A sale or discount ad replaces the old Local Deal. A messages ad lets you pick three to ten questions neighbors can ask you directly.

Write like a neighbor

Copy that reads like a flyer gets scrolled past. A photo of your actual truck on a local street, a plain offer and a name people can remember fit the feed better than a coupon blast.

Direct mail, junk removal flyers and door hangers

Mail reaches every address on the routes you choose, including people who never see a social ad. USPS Every Door Direct Mail needs no names or addresses, and pieces go to every address on the selected carrier routes.

What Every Door Direct Mail allows

USPS describes Every Door Direct Mail Retail as at least 200 pieces per mailing and up to 5,000 a day per ZIP Code, chosen in its online tool, with routes that can be filtered by age, household size and income from Census data. Retail flats are listed at $0.26 per piece in postage as of October 2026, with printing on top.

Make mail measurable

Give each drop its own phone number or a short web address, and log the source on every call. Without that, a postcard’s bookings get credited to whatever channel the customer used last.

Junk removal door hangers near current jobs

A crew finishing a garage cleanout can leave hangers on the next few doors. Neighbors have just watched the work, which is the strongest pitch a hauler has. Our direct mail marketing page covers mail programs in more depth.

Junk removal flyers: where they can and cannot go

A flyer earns its print cost when it answers the same three questions as a search ad and carries a number printed nowhere else. Hand them out at the door, leave a stack with partner businesses that agree to it, or pin them to community boards, but keep them out of mailboxes: 18 U.S.C. 1725 makes it an offense to knowingly and willfully put unstamped mailable matter in a letter box to avoid postage. A hanger on the doorknob or a postage-paid piece avoids the problem. Junk removal business card ideas follow the same logic: the card a crew leaves behind should carry the minimum charge and the photo-quote number, not just a logo.

Truck wraps, lettering and yard signs

The trucks are the one ad a hauler pays for once and shows on every job. A clean wrap with a short name, a phone number and a web address does more than a busy design nobody can read at a light.

Federal marking on interstate trucks

Under the federal marking rule in 49 CFR 390.21T, a self-propelled commercial motor vehicle shows the carrier’s legal name or a single trade name and its USDOT number on both sides, readable from 50 feet in daylight. A truck counts as a commercial motor vehicle under those rules when, among other tests, it weighs or is rated at 10,001 pounds or more and runs on a highway in interstate commerce. State rules can apply to trucks that never cross a state line, so ask your state transportation office.

A junk removal truck wrap designed for a glance

Name, what you do, phone, web address. A unique phone number on the truck lets you count the calls it brings. Photos of junk on the truck itself rarely help; a clean truck says the crew will leave the house clean too.

Junk removal yard signs and job-site signs

Signs at a renovation or estate job, with the owner’s permission, reach the street at the moment the work is visible. Towns and homeowner associations set their own sign rules, so check before planting them.

How to advertise a junk removal business: ideas, ad examples and a template

Start from your own jobs. The junk removal advertising ideas that book work show a real truck, a real pile and one clear next step, and they reach the streets where crews are already driving.

Junk removal ad ideas that come from your own jobs

Film the week’s best garage cleanout from both ends of the day. Aim a Nextdoor or Meta ad at the ZIP codes where trucks are already booked, so an added pickup costs little drive time. Push move-out cleanups in the last ten days of the month, write estate cleanout ads for the adult children who usually make the call, and offer contractors a standing debris schedule. Share a donation count only when receipts back it up.

Fill the same five slots whether the ad is a junk removal Google Ads headline set, a video caption or a printed card. Leave a slot empty rather than fill it with a claim the landing page cannot repeat.

  • The job and the town, in the first words
  • Speed: the next pickup window the schedule can really deliver
  • A price signal: the minimum charge, a load band or a starting item price
  • Proof: your own truck, your own crew, and a review count only if it is current

Landing pages that turn ad clicks into booked pickups

Every campaign needs a page that matches its ad: the same job, the same price signal and a fast way to book. Sending all traffic to the home page is the most common reason paid clicks die.

Progression’s published fixed-scope price for a single landing page starts at $1,400, with one template, copy, a form and tracking in one to two weeks, on our website design and development page. Our landing page design and conversion rate optimization pages cover testing after launch.

Tracking calls, photo quotes and booked jobs by ad source

Track five stages for every channel: contact, quote, booked job, revenue and review. Cost per lead is a diagnostic; cost per booked job is the number that decides budgets.

One CRM field that changes everything

Add a lead source field that the office fills on every call and every form, and make it required before a job can be scheduled. Reports built on that one field settle most arguments about which ads work.

Reports worth reading

Our marketing analytics page covers reporting builds, and cost per lead explains why a cheap lead can still be an expensive job.

Eco-friendly, donation and recycling claims in hauling ads

Green claims sell junk removal, and they are covered by the FTC’s Green Guides, which apply to environmental claims about services in advertising and all other marketing. Make the claim specific and be able to back it up.

Why a bare eco-friendly claim is risky

Section 260.4 of the Green Guides says unqualified general environmental benefit claims are difficult to interpret and marketers should not make them; a claim needs clear and prominent qualifying language that limits it to a specific benefit. The guides also expect a reasonable basis for a claim before it is made, which for environmental claims often means competent and reliable scientific evidence.

These lines are examples written to illustrate the rule, not quotations from any company.

Appliances with refrigerant

The EPA’s safe disposal requirements make the final person in the disposal chain, such as a scrap recycler or landfill, responsible for making sure refrigerant is recovered from refrigerators, freezers and similar appliances, or for keeping a signed statement that it was. If you advertise appliance removal, say how you handle that step.

Mattress recycling states

The Mattress Recycling Council runs Bye Bye Mattress programs in California, Connecticut, Oregon and Rhode Island, funded by a fee charged when a mattress is bought. Haulers in those states can name the program on mattress pages.

3 to 4 wks: Local Services screening. Average time after documents.
15 days: No second charge for a repeat. Same number or email, LSA.

Reviews in ads and the rules behind them

Reviews decide Local Services placement and the click on a search ad, so they belong in the ad program. The rules on how you ask for them are strict and federal.

What the FTC rule bans

The FTC’s rule on consumer reviews makes it unfair or deceptive to give compensation or other incentives for reviews that express a particular sentiment, positive or negative.

What Google’s policy bans

Google’s Maps content policy goes further: no payment, discounts or free service in exchange for reviews at all, no discouraging negative reviews and no asking only happy customers. Ask every customer the same way after every job. Our review management page and the guide how to get more Google reviews cover the routine.

Microsoft Advertising and retargeting for haulers

Bing search reaches a smaller but real audience at little extra effort, because campaigns can be imported from Google Ads. Retargeting follows people who priced a job but did not book.

Importing from Google Ads

Microsoft’s Google Ads import guide explains that existing Google Ads campaigns can be imported to run on Bing, once or on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule, and warns that not everything is imported. Check location settings, negatives and phone numbers after each import. Our Bing ads agency page goes further.

Retargeting with a short memory

Someone who priced a cleanout this week may book next week; someone who booked another hauler last week does not need your ad for a month. Keep retargeting windows short and frequency modest. Our retargeting agency page covers audiences and caps.

How do AI assistants answer junk removal questions, and where do ads fit?

People now ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Google’s AI Overviews what junk removal costs, whether a hauler takes a hot tub or who can clear a house this week. Ads can sit around some of those answers, but an ad does not buy a place in the answer itself.

Ads beside AI Overviews

Google’s help page on ads and AI Overviews says ads can show above or below AI Overviews in every market where they appear, and within them in English in the US and several other countries, using text and Shopping ads from existing Search, Shopping and Performance Max campaigns.

What assistants can quote about a hauler

Assistants answer from pages and listings they can read: price pages with real ranges, item lists, service-area pages, donation and recycling practices, a consistent Business Profile and reviews across sites. A hauler that publishes those plainly gives the assistant something specific to name and link.

What to publish next

A cost page with load bands, a page per job type, a clear statement of items refused, and FAQs written in the words customers use. Our AEO for junk removal page covers that work in detail.

How much does junk removal advertising cost?

Two costs add up: the media you pay to Google, Meta, Nextdoor or USPS, and the management and setup work. The bands below are published US price bands (market figures, not a Progression rate card); a quote follows a written scope.

Published US price bands for paid media work (market figures, not a Progression rate card)

Progression’s own published prices

Progression’s fixed-scope single landing page starts at $1,400. Its social packages are Presence at $850 a month, Growth at $1,850 and Program at $3,400, each with owner-level access to every account from day one, thirty days notice and no automatic renewal; see social media marketing pricing.

Media spend and lead prices

Click prices are set by the auction, and Local Services lead prices vary by market and job type. Work back from what a booked job is worth and how many leads you book, and set the budget from that, not from a round number.

How long until paid ads produce booked junk removal jobs?

Search ads can ring the phone within days of launch; tuning bids and negatives takes several weeks of data; Local Services needs its screening first. Plan a first quarter, not a first week.

Timeline for junk removal advertising: tracking in week one, landing pages and campaigns in weeks two and three, Local Services screening, search term work, then bidding guided by imported booked jobs.Timeline for junk removal advertising: tracking in week one, landing pages and campaigns in weeks two and three, Local Services screening, search term work, then bidding guided by imported booked jobs.

What slows a launch

Missing insurance or license documents for screening, a phone line nobody answers at lunch, and a CRM that cannot record the ad source. Gather all three in the first week.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as junk removal advertising?
It is paid placement for a hauling company: Google search ads, Local Services Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Facebook, Instagram and Nextdoor ads, direct mail and truck lettering. Each channel is judged by the booked jobs it produces and the cost per job, not by clicks or impressions.
Where should a hauling company spend its first ad dollars?
Start where intent is highest: a search campaign for your most valuable job type in the towns you serve, plus Local Services Ads once screening is done. Add Meta and Nextdoor for cleanouts and move-out jobs, and mail for neighborhoods you want to own. Track every call to a booked job.
How do I set a monthly ad budget for junk removal?
Work back from the value of a booked job and the share of leads you book. If a typical job brings in a known margin and you book one in three leads, the most you can pay per lead falls out of that. Set the budget from capacity and that ceiling, not from a round number.
Is junk removal PPC worth it for a one-truck business?
Yes, if the campaign is narrow. One job type, a tight service area, a landing page with prices and a phone that is answered can pay for itself. Spreading a small budget across every job and every town is what makes it look like it does not work.
How do I stop paying for searches that want free pickup?
Add negative keywords for free, donation pickup, landfill and dump hours, scrap buyers and hiring, plus their plural forms, since Google says negatives do not match close variants. Show a minimum charge in the ad so people looking for free pickup skip it.
Should I choose Presence or Presence or interest for location targeting?
Presence reaches only people who are in or regularly in your towns, which suits a hauler that cannot travel far. Presence or interest, Google’s default, also reaches people interested in those places, such as adult children arranging a cleanout. Start with Presence and test the default later.
How long does Local Services screening take for junk removal?
Google says screening averages three to four weeks after documents are submitted. Junk removal checks can include business and owner background checks, business registration, general liability insurance and state licenses where local law requires them, for select users.
Do I pay for every call from Local Services Ads?
No. Google charges for valid leads: answered calls, missed calls in business hours where the caller stays on more than 20 seconds, and messages. Repeat contact from the same person within 15 days is not charged again, and some low-quality leads are credited automatically within 30 days.
Should a hauler start with Local Services Ads or Google search ads?
Launch search first and file the Local Services paperwork that same week. Search can ring the phone within days; Local Services screening averages three to four weeks, according to Google, and after that each valid lead is billed instead of each click. Once both run, put the busy-season budget where the cost per booked job is lower.
What happens to Local Services Ads now that they are moving into Google Ads?
Google is moving them into a Performance Max campaign type built for pay-per-lead goals, in phases from August 2026 into 2027. Billing stays per valid lead, ads stay on Search and Maps, and leads are managed on a Leads page in Google Ads. Check your account for its migration date.
Should junk removal ads show prices?
Show a price signal: a minimum charge, load-size bands or a starting price for common items. It filters people looking for free pickup before they call, and it raises the share of calls that book. Make sure the landing page repeats the same figures.
Are Meta lead ads good for junk removal?
They can be, for cleanouts and move-out jobs that people plan ahead. Use Meta’s verification options such as an SMS passcode for the phone number, send each lead straight to your CRM and call back within minutes, because quick forms are also filled casually.
Can I target ZIP codes with Nextdoor ads?
Yes. Nextdoor’s self-serve ads can target a radius of up to 30 miles, shown as the ZIP codes it covers, and run on a daily budget. Ads pass a quick approval before going live, and you can choose website visits, a sale or discount, or a messages goal.
Do junk removal flyers and door hangers still work?
They can, when they are aimed and counted. Hangers left on the streets around a finished job reach neighbors who just watched the crew, and flyers at partner businesses reach people planning a move. Print a number used nowhere else so the bookings show up, and keep unstamped flyers out of mailboxes, which federal law forbids.
What are good junk removal advertising ideas?
The best ones reuse what crews already do. Turn finished jobs into short before-and-after clips, advertise to the ZIP codes on tomorrow’s route, time move-out offers for month end, speak gently to families clearing an estate, and give contractors a set debris day. Every version still needs a pickup window, a price signal and a single way to book.
Does Every Door Direct Mail work for haulers?
It can, because it reaches every address on chosen carrier routes without a mailing list. USPS Retail mailings need at least 200 pieces and allow up to 5,000 a day per ZIP Code. Print a unique phone number or web address on each drop so bookings are counted.
What has to be on a junk removal truck?
For a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce, generally a truck of 10,001 pounds or more crossing state lines, the federal marking rule requires the carrier’s legal or single trade name and USDOT number on both sides, readable from 50 feet. State rules can apply too.
Can I call my junk removal company eco-friendly in ads?
Only with qualifying detail you can back up. The FTC’s Green Guides say marketers should not make unqualified general environmental benefit claims. Say what you actually do, such as donating usable furniture or recycling metal, and keep donation receipts and recycler invoices on file.
Who is responsible for refrigerant when a fridge is hauled away?
Under the EPA’s safe disposal rules the final person in the disposal chain, such as a scrap recycler or landfill, must make sure the refrigerant is recovered or keep a signed statement that it was. Say on your appliance page how your loads reach that step.
Is it legal to reward customers who give our hauling crew five stars?
No. The FTC’s rule bans incentives for reviews that express a particular sentiment, and Google’s policy bans any incentive for reviews and asking only happy customers. Ask every customer the same way after every job, with no reward attached.
Which converts better for haulers, calls or online quotes?
Urgent single items tend to start with a call; cleanouts tend to start with photos. Offer both on every page and measure booked jobs from each in your own account rather than assuming. The answer often differs by job type and by time of day.
How do I know which ads booked the job?
Use call reporting with Google forwarding numbers, unique numbers on mail and trucks, a required lead source field in the CRM, and Google’s enhanced conversions for leads to send booked jobs back to Google Ads. Then compare cost per booked job by channel each month.
Should I buy shared junk removal leads or run my own ads?
Shared leads from marketplaces can fill gaps quickly, but the same customer is usually sold to several haulers and the leads stop when payment stops. Campaigns in your own accounts take longer to tune and keep their history, reviews and data when you change vendors.
Can Microsoft Advertising help a junk removal company?
Yes, as a second search channel with little extra work. Microsoft lets you import Google Ads campaigns once or on a schedule. Check location settings, negatives and phone numbers after each import, because not every setting carries over.
Do ads appear in AI answers about junk removal?
Google says ads can show above or below AI Overviews and, in English in the US and some other countries, within them. An ad does not buy a place in the answer itself; that depends on clear price, service and service-area pages and consistent listings.
How soon will a new junk removal ad campaign get calls?
Search ads can bring calls within days of launch if tracking and landing pages are ready. Expect several weeks of data before bids and negatives are well tuned, and three to four weeks of screening before Local Services Ads can run.
Do you run junk removal advertising outside New York?
Yes. Progression Agency is based in New York City and works with haulers and franchise territory owners across the United States and worldwide. Campaigns are built in accounts the business owns, with a written scope and a free proposal first.
