Updated September 2026 · Written and maintained by the Progression Agency strategy team

Progression Agency is based in New York City and works with clients worldwide: marketing, websites, software and AI systems delivered remotely under New York contracts, invoiced in US dollars, with a paid discovery phase first and milestone prepayment after it. This page sets out how international engagements work, what changes by country, and what does not change at all.

The short answerWe take clients from any country. Every engagement, domestic or international, runs the same way: a written scope, a fixed-price paid discovery phase before any build, milestones paid before each phase starts, US-dollar invoicing by bank transfer, a contract under New York law, and intellectual property that transfers to you on final payment. What changes by country is the privacy law we design to, the time zone we schedule around, and the payment rail that suits you. Nothing else does.

Terms on this page are the standard engagement terms Progression Agency applies to every client; they are summaries, and the signed engagement letter governs.

Where we work

Progression Agency is headquartered in New York City and delivers remotely to clients across the United States and worldwide. Recent enquiries and projects have come from South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, the European Union, Australia and the Gulf. Marketing, web, software and AI work does not depend on being in the same room; it depends on a written scope, a shared repository and a fixed meeting rhythm, which is how we run every engagement. Our about page covers the team; contact starts a conversation.

Contracts and law

Every engagement letter is governed by the law of the State of New York with disputes resolved by arbitration in New York, whichever country the client is in. The letter states the scope, the milestone schedule, acceptance criteria, ownership of code, designs, prompts and data, confidentiality, and the support period. Work that has been delivered and accepted is not refundable; work that has not started is not billed. If your organisation needs its own paper, we review it against those terms and say in writing where they differ.

Payment

Invoices are issued in US dollars and paid by bank transfer, ACH or Wise; card payments are not used for project work. Discovery is prepaid in full and each subsequent milestone is prepaid before the phase begins, so no work is carried on credit and no client is asked to pay for work they have not seen scoped. Any local taxes, withholding or exchange-control paperwork on the client’s side are the client’s responsibility; we supply the invoices and declarations your bank or tax authority asks for. Planning ranges on our service pages are US figures and apply worldwide; a quotation follows discovery.

Privacy and data by country

We design to the privacy law that applies to your users, not only to US law. The table sets out the regimes we work under most often and what changes in the build. Where the law requires a processor, operator or business-associate agreement, it is part of the contract.

Time zones and communication

Written communication is the default: email and a shared project channel keep scope, prices and decisions in one record, which international clients usually prefer. Calls are scheduled in overlapping hours: mornings in New York for Europe and Africa, late afternoons for the Pacific, and either for the Americas. Turnaround commitments in the contract are in business days on the New York calendar.

What we screen for, and why

The paid discovery phase is the screen. It confirms that the brief is real, that the organisation exists, that payment works, and that the scope is honest, before either side commits to a build. We verify the company on its national register, check the domain, and put the terms above in writing. We do not publish lists of countries we decline; we apply the same terms to everyone and the terms do the filtering.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with clients outside the United States?
Yes. Progression Agency is based in New York City and works with clients worldwide, remotely, under New York contracts with US-dollar invoicing and milestone prepayment. The process is the same for every client.
Which countries do you accept clients from?
Any country. We do not publish an exclusion list; every project goes through the same paid discovery phase, company verification and prepayment terms, and those terms are what qualify a project.
What currency and payment methods do you use?
US dollars by bank transfer, ACH or Wise. Discovery and each milestone are prepaid before the work starts. Card payments are not used for project work.
Which law governs the contract?
The law of the State of New York, with arbitration in New York. The engagement letter covers scope, milestones, acceptance, ownership, confidentiality and support.
Do you offer refunds?
Work that has been delivered and accepted is not refundable. Work that has not started is not billed, and milestones are small enough that no client prepays for more than the next phase.
Who owns the work?
You do, on final payment: code, designs, prompts, knowledge bases, content and the accounts everything runs in, which are opened in your name from the start.
Can you build to GDPR, POPIA or other privacy laws?
Yes. We design to the law that applies to your users, sign the processor, operator or business-associate agreement it requires, and document data flows and rights handling as part of the build.
How do time zones work?
Written updates are the default and calls are scheduled in overlapping hours. Turnaround commitments are in New York business days and stated in the contract.
Do you travel or work on site?
Remotely by default. On-site work in the New York area, including video shoots, is available; international travel is quoted separately when a project genuinely needs it.
How do I start?
Send the project, your country and any specification through the contact form. You get a written feasibility view and a fixed-price discovery proposal, usually within two business days.
