An AI SEO agency Miami businesses hire should get them named, described correctly and linked when a buyer in Miami-Dade puts the question to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot or Google’s AI Overviews, in English or in Spanish. The work behind that is practical: pages assistants can fetch and quote, a Business Profile that agrees with the site, listings and local coverage that repeat the same facts, and a monthly check of how the assistants describe you. Progression Agency is based in New York City and serves clients in all 50 states and worldwide.

The short answerStart with the inexpensive work: let the AI crawlers in, make every page answer its heading in the first two sentences, and complete the Business Profile. In a city where 68.8% of residents aged five and over speak Spanish at home, the next step is a Spanish version of the pages that sell, reviewed by a fluent speaker. Results are read against a fixed prompt set, with ninety days as the first checkpoint. Published US price bands put a one-off AEO audit at $1,000 to $4,000; our own retainers start at $1,500 a month, and a quote follows a written scope. Nobody can promise a place in an AI answer, and we do not.
Job counts and location quotients: BLS county employment census, private employers in Miami-Dade, 2025 averages. Language, birthplace and income: Census Bureau five-year survey estimates ending 2024. Populations: Census Bureau July 2025 estimates. Google, OpenAI, Perplexity and Anthropic rules are summarized as they read in October 2026 and may change. Price bands are one published set of US figures cited on our AEO pricing page; Progression’s own retainers are those on our SEO services page.
What does an AI SEO agency in Miami actually do?
It gets a Miami business into the short list an assistant recites when a buyer asks for a provider, and makes sure the description is right. The job has five parts, in this order: let the crawlers in, rewrite pages to answer questions directly, keep the profile and listings consistent, earn mentions on sites assistants already rely on, and check every month what they say.
It is built on ordinary search engine optimization rather than instead of it. In its documentation on AI features, Google says a page needs nothing beyond the usual to be eligible for AI Overviews or AI Mode: it has to be indexed and able to show a snippet. The difference is the prize. Search results reward a position on a list; an AI answer rewards being among the handful of passages the reply is written from, and being characterized fairly.
Make the site readable to the assistants
ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Claude each send their own crawler, and each can be turned away by one line in robots.txt. A page whose prices only appear after a script runs may look empty to some of them. Paste your robots.txt into our free AI crawler access checker to see which crawler tokens can reach a path, and a page into the extractable content checker to see what survives text-only extraction.
Answer the question in the opening lines
Assistants lift passages, not whole sites. A service page that opens with a slogan and leaves the price, the area served and the license number for the bottom gives them little to quote. The six rules we use for AEO writing start with putting the answer first.
Keep the profile and listings in step with the site
For local questions, the Business Profile is often the first record a searcher sees. If it lists different hours or a different phone number from the website, the buyer has to guess which one is current, and a program reading both has the same problem.
Earn mentions where assistants already look
Anything you say about yourself is self-reported. When a Miami chamber listing, a WLRN segment or a trade association page repeats it, it becomes something a third party vouches for. The Miami sources worth that effort are listed further down.
Check what the assistants say
A fixed list of buyer questions is run every month and scored the same way each time: whether you are mentioned, whether you are cited with a link, and whether what is said about you is accurate. The list is handed to you, so the baseline survives any change of agency.
Where should a Miami business start with AI SEO?
With the steps that cost little and pay back early, not with a large content budget. Crawler access, answer-first editing and the Business Profile come before anything expensive.
Precision is cheaper than volume
When many firms say similar things, the one that states its service, area, license and price in plain sentences is the easiest to quote, and writing those sentences costs far less than producing more pages.
Being a source is a realistic goal
An AI answer is assembled from sources chosen because they are specific and easy to extract, not only because they hold a high rank. That makes being one of those sources a realistic goal for a well-edited page.
Answer-first editing costs an afternoon
Take the pages you already have, make the first two sentences under each heading answer that heading, and rewrite headings as the questions people actually ask. It is editing, not writing, and it is among the cheapest early steps once crawler access is confirmed.
Miami in numbers an assistant has to get right
The City of Miami had an estimated 489,812 residents in 2025, up from 442,895 in 2020, inside a county of 2.8 million people and 34 municipalities. Most residents speak Spanish at home and more than half were born outside the United States. Those facts shape who asks, in which language, and how they name the place they are asking about.
| Figure | Value | Why it matters for AI search |
|---|---|---|
| City of Miami population, 2025 estimate | 489,812 | The city is one part of the market, not all of it |
| Miami-Dade County population, 2025 estimate | 2,802,029 | Most customers live outside the city limits |
| Incorporated municipalities in the county | 34 | Doral, Hialeah and Coral Gables are separate cities |
| County residents outside any municipality | 1,211,402 (43.2%) | Kendall and Westchester are not cities at all |
| City residents aged 5+ who speak Spanish at home | 68.8% | Spanish pages are a main channel, not an extra |
| City residents aged 5+ who speak English less than ‘very well’ | 39.2% | Some buyers can only use a Spanish answer |
| City residents born outside the United States | 57.7% | Buyers may compare you with providers abroad |
| City median household income, 2020 to 2024 | $62,462 | Price clarity matters to careful buyers |
City, county and metro are three different answers
Ask an assistant for a provider ‘in Miami’ and it has to guess whether you mean the city, the county or the three-county metro of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, home to about 6.4 million people in 2025. Pages that say exactly which of those you serve take the guesswork away.
Which Miami-Dade industries are bigger here than in the rest of the country?
Real estate, transportation and warehousing, private education and wholesale trade all employ a far larger share of Miami-Dade workers than they do nationally, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ 2025 county employment census. Health care is still the largest private employer by headcount. Each of those industries asks assistants different questions.
Location quotients come from the same Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages that counts the jobs. A figure of 1.83 for real estate means the sector’s share of private employment in Miami-Dade is 83% higher than its share in the United States. The QCEW data views let any business look up its own county and industry.
| Industry | Private jobs | Compared with the U.S. | What a buyer might type or say |
|---|---|---|---|
| Real estate, rental and leasing | 36,261 | 1.83 times | A bilingual realtor in Coral Gables who knows condo associations |
| Transportation and warehousing | 95,301 | 1.76 times | A freight forwarder near the airport that ships to Colombia |
| Wholesale trade | 72,446 | 1.46 times | A wholesale distributor in Doral for restaurant supplies |
| Professional, scientific and technical | 102,482 | 1.16 times | An immigration lawyer in Little Havana who speaks Spanish |
| Accommodation and food services | 132,250 | 1.14 times | A Cuban restaurant in Westchester with a private room |
| Retail trade | 141,088 | 1.12 times | A store in Hialeah that repairs phones the same day |
| Finance and insurance | 54,648 | 1.06 times | An insurance agent in Kendall for a condo after a storm |
| Health care and social assistance | 179,291 | 0.95 times | A pediatrician in Doral who takes my plan and speaks Spanish |
Real estate: the most concentrated sector
Real estate, rental and leasing employment grew 8.0% in Miami-Dade between 2024 and 2025. Brokers, property managers and condo specialists answer questions about neighborhoods, building rules and foreign buyers. Florida’s advertising rule for licensees, covered below, decides some of what those pages must say. See AEO for real estate agents and real estate SEO.
Trade, ports and logistics
Transportation, warehousing and wholesale together account for 167,747 private jobs in the county. Their buyers are businesses, often abroad, asking which forwarder, customs broker or distributor can move a specific product on a specific lane. Pages that name lanes, certifications and the documents you handle answer those questions; see AEO for B2B companies.
Hospitality and visitors
Accommodation and food services employ 132,250 people. Visitors ask by occasion and place: dinner in Little Havana, brunch in Wynwood, a hotel near the port. Menus, capacities and booking links written as text answer them, and a menu that exists only as a photo cannot. More in AEO for restaurants and hotel AEO.
Professional services: the most workplaces
Professional, scientific and technical services have 22,374 workplaces in the county, more than any other private sector. Lawyers, accountants, architects, engineers and consultants compete one firm at a time, which makes named people and stated specialties the deciding detail. See AEO for law firms and AEO for accountants.
Health care: the largest employer
Health care and social assistance employs 179,291 people in Miami-Dade. Patients ask about plans accepted, the languages clinicians speak and how soon they can be seen. Each of those is a fact a practice can state in a sentence; see AEO for doctors and AEO for dentists.
Finance and insurance: the highest pay
Average annual pay in finance and insurance was $213,240 in 2025, the highest of the county’s private sectors. Financial advisors, carriers and lending firms are bound by marketing rules that restrict forecasts and guarantees, so an answer-first page sticks to what is offered, to whom and on what fee basis. See financial services SEO and AEO for insurance agencies.
Who do the assistants recommend instead of you in Miami? We will run a baseline against your real buyer questions and show you who is being cited instead of you.
A market of small firms: 122,238 private workplaces
Miami-Dade’s 1,138,710 private-sector jobs are spread across 122,238 workplaces, an average of about nine jobs each. Many of the businesses an assistant might recommend are owner-run, which changes what their pages should say and who should say it.
The owner’s own words get repeated
In a small firm the owner usually writes the website, answers the reviews and talks to the reporter. That is an advantage: a specific, first-person account of how the work is done is exactly the kind of passage an assistant can quote. Generic copy written to sound bigger than the firm is not.
The founder bio is a sales page
A bio that states the license, the years in the trade, the languages spoken and the neighborhoods served answers half the questions a Miami buyer asks before calling. Put it on its own page, link it from every service page, and keep it current.
Spanish is the majority language at home in Miami
In the City of Miami, 68.8% of residents aged five and over speak Spanish at home and 22.8% speak only English, in the Census Bureau’s five-year American Community Survey estimates ending in 2024. Across Miami-Dade the figures are 66.7% and 24.7%. A Miami business that publishes only in English is speaking to the minority language at home.
A Spanish question needs a Spanish page to quote
When a buyer asks in Spanish, the most useful passage for an assistant is one already written in Spanish. A Miami firm with only an English site leaves the assistant to translate, summarize or pick someone else. A reviewed Spanish page removes that step.
Many buyers rely on Spanish entirely
In the city, 39.2% of residents aged five and over speak English less than ‘very well’, and 36.9% are Spanish speakers in that position. For them an English-only page is not a weaker option; it is no option.
Haitian Creole is part of the picture
The Census category that includes Haitian Creole covers 3.8% of city residents and 4.6% across the county, about 118,000 people. PortMiami and the Miami-Dade Beacon Council both publish their sites in Haitian Creole as well as English and Spanish. If your staff serve Creole speakers, say so in writing.
How to publish Spanish pages that assistants can use
Put each language on its own URL, connect the versions with hreflang, have a fluent person review every page, and mirror the Spanish facts in your profile and bios. Done that way, the Spanish pages can be found, matched to Spanish questions and quoted.
Six habits that make a bilingual Miami site legible to people and to software:
Give each language its own address
Google’s advice on multilingual sites is to put every language version at a distinct URL instead of swapping the language with cookies or browser settings. It works out a page’s language from the words a visitor sees, not from code, so each page should keep its text and navigation in a single language, without side-by-side translations.
hreflang connects the pair
hreflang annotations tell Google which URLs are language versions of the same page, so a Spanish searcher is sent to the Spanish one. Each version should list the other and itself. Our hreflang guide has working examples.
A fluent reviewer, not raw machine translation
Google’s spam policies list scraping content to generate many pages, including through automated transformations such as translating, where little value is provided, as scaled content abuse. Bulk machine translation with no human review adds little for readers, so a fluent speaker should correct and approve every Spanish page.
Mirror the Spanish facts everywhere
If the dentist speaks Spanish, say it in the bio, the service page, the profile description and the reply to a Spanish review. An assistant looking for a Spanish-speaking dentist in Doral needs to find that sentence somewhere; it will not infer it.
Should a Miami business build a separate Spanish website?
Usually not. A Spanish section on the same domain, with matching URLs and hreflang, keeps the history and links you have already earned and is simpler to maintain. A separate Spanish domain makes sense mainly when the Spanish business is run as a different brand.
What a Spanish section should include first
Start with the pages that bring inquiries: the main services, prices or how prices are set, the areas served, and the contact page. Blog posts can wait. A short, accurate Spanish section beats a full but careless one.
What it costs to add a language
Adding a language is a scoped job of its own. See multilingual website design for what the larger builds involve.
What Miami buyers ask AI assistants
Miami questions tend to carry three conditions at once: a place, a language and a credential. Each condition is matched against written facts, so every one you meet belongs in a sentence on a page that crawlers can fetch.
| The question | Language | Facts it depends on | The page that should hold them |
|---|---|---|---|
| Un dentista en Doral que acepte mi seguro y atienda sábados | Spanish | Plans accepted, Saturday hours, city | Spanish service page, profile hours |
| An immigration lawyer in Little Havana who handles asylum cases | English | Practice area, neighborhood, language | Practice page, attorney bio |
| Una empresa de techos en Kendall con licencia en Florida | Spanish | Trade, license number, area served | Spanish service page with license text |
| A freight forwarder near Miami International Airport that ships to Peru | English | Lanes, services, location | Lanes page, about page |
| A Haitian Creole speaking tax preparer in North Miami | English | Language, service, city | Bio, profile description |
| Un restaurante en Coral Gables con salón privado para 30 | Spanish | Capacity, booking method, city | Spanish private dining page |
| A property manager for a condo association in Brickell | English | Building type, services, neighborhood | Service page, case notes |
Place and language arrive together
A question such as ‘un dentista en Doral’ sets two filters in four words. A practice that writes ‘Doral’ in its Spanish page title, address block and directions gives the assistant both. One that says only ‘Miami’, and only in English, gives it neither.
Credentials act as filters
Licensed, board-certified, insured, accepts this plan. Each is a yes-or-no test, and an unstated qualification counts as a missing one. We list the common causes in why ChatGPT recommends my competitor.
Build the question list from customers, not tools
The best source of prompts is the first question customers ask on the phone. Write ten down in English and ten in Spanish, in their words, and you have the start of a prompt set. Our AI visibility prompt builder produces a twelve-prompt starter set, explains how to run it by hand and supplies a sheet for the answers.
Where do assistants look before naming a Miami business?
They draw on what they can fetch and what other sources confirm: your own pages, your Business Profile, directories and chambers, local news, and reviews. The more of those agree, the easier it is to describe you with confidence.
Your own pages
The service page, the bio and the contact page carry the facts only you can state precisely: what you do, where, in which languages, at what price. If those pages are thin, everything else has nothing to agree with.
The Business Profile
Google’s map results are built from Business Profiles, and the profile’s name, category, hours and reviews are often the first facts a searcher sees. Treat it as a page you publish, not a form you filled in once.
Directories and chambers
Membership directories, license lookups and business registers confirm that you exist, where, and under which name. They rarely send many visitors on their own, but they repeat your facts in places that are hard to fake.
Local news and trade press
A story in a Miami outlet that names your business and describes what you did is independent corroboration. It is also the hardest item on this list to buy, which is why it carries weight.
Reviews
Detailed reviews describe the service in customers’ words, often naming the neighborhood and the language they were served in. They help readers decide and give a summary something specific to draw on.
Can ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google read your site?
Only if robots.txt lets their crawlers in and the words are in the HTML. Assistants that search the web either send a named crawler or lean on a search index, and every one of those crawlers is allowed or refused by name. That is the first thing to check, because writing for a crawler that is locked out is wasted.
| Assistant | Crawler or index | Its purpose, as the operator describes it |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT search | OAI-SearchBot | Used to show sites in ChatGPT’s search features; a site that opts out drops out of those answers but may still show as a navigational link |
| ChatGPT model training | GPTBot | A separate token, so blocking training does not remove you from ChatGPT search |
| Perplexity | PerplexityBot | Finds and links sites in Perplexity’s answers; the company states it does not collect training data for foundation models |
| Claude | Claude-SearchBot | Gathers pages to improve Claude’s search results; refusing it means those pages are not indexed for search |
| Google AI Overviews and AI Mode | Googlebot and the Google index | Nothing extra is required: indexed pages that can show a snippet are eligible |
Each operator publishes its own list of user agents: see OpenAI on its bots, Perplexity on PerplexityBot and Anthropic on Claude’s crawlers.
robots.txt is a set of separate switches
A blanket disallow copied from an old template, or a security plugin that refuses unfamiliar user agents, can hide a site from one assistant while another reads it normally. Check each token by name. The llms.txt generator produces a file that is optional and unproven; a correct robots.txt is neither.
Words that need no script to appear
Booking widgets, price calculators and menus injected by third-party scripts often leave the HTML empty. Open your key pages with JavaScript disabled in the browser. If the price or the service list vanishes, assume some crawlers never see it.
A nosnippet tag also mutes you in AI answers
Google applies its snippet controls, including nosnippet, data-nosnippet, max-snippet and noindex, to AI features in Search as well as to classic results. A developer who once added nosnippet to tidy up how a page looked in results may have taken it out of AI Overviews at the same time.
Ready for a written scope? We quote AI SEO work after testing whether your templates render without JavaScript and which AI crawlers can reach them, because those two facts decide the number.
Thirty-four cities and one county: naming the places you serve
Miami-Dade has 34 incorporated municipalities, and in 2025 about 1.21 million of its residents, 43.2%, lived outside all of them. A customer may name a city, an unincorporated community or a neighborhood, and a page that names the places you really serve can match all three.
| Place | What it is | 2025 population estimate |
|---|---|---|
| City of Miami | Incorporated city | 489,812 |
| Hialeah | Incorporated city | 230,968 |
| Miami Gardens | Incorporated city | 113,579 |
| Homestead | Incorporated city | 86,242 |
| Doral | Incorporated city | 81,634 |
| Miami Beach | Incorporated city | 81,594 |
| Coral Gables | Incorporated city | 49,578 |
| Kendall, Westchester, Tamiami, The Hammocks | Census-designated places in unincorporated Miami-Dade | Counted with the unincorporated balance of 1,211,402 |
| Little Havana, Little Haiti, Brickell, Wynwood, Allapattah | Neighborhoods named in the county visitor bureau’s guide | Not separate census places |
The City of Miami is one of 34
Doral, Hialeah, Coral Gables, Miami Beach and Homestead have their own governments. A Coral Gables customer asking for a provider in Coral Gables will not assume that a firm describing itself only as ‘Miami’ crosses into the Gables. If you serve it, write it.
Kendall and Westchester are not cities
Kendall, Westchester, Tamiami and The Hammocks are census-designated places in unincorporated Miami-Dade. They are real places to the people who live there and the names they use, so they belong in your copy if you serve them.
Neighborhoods inside the bigger names
The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau’s neighborhood guide lists areas such as Little Havana, Little Haiti, Brickell, Wynwood and Allapattah. Visitors and residents alike ask by those names, so a restaurant or clinic should use the one its customers use.
Service areas without doorway pages
Put the places you serve in the Business Profile, describe them on one solid service page with a short paragraph each, and skip the thin page per city. Google’s spam policies list city-targeted pages that funnel visitors to one destination among their doorway-abuse examples.
What the profile allows
Google lets a service-area business enter as many as 20 service areas, by city, ZIP code or similar, and asks that the whole territory stay within roughly a two-hour drive of where the business is based. In Miami-Dade that is more ground than most firms can cover well, so enter the places you actually go.
Why twenty near-identical city pages backfire
A roofer with real jobs in Kendall, Doral and Hialeah gains more from one page describing the work done in each than from three pages that differ only in the city name; Google’s doorway-abuse examples include pages targeted at specific cities that funnel users to one page. Our local AEO guide sets out when a location page is justified.
Google Business Profile for a Miami business
Relevance, distance and popularity are the three factors Google names for local results, and it states that nobody can buy or request a higher local position. You control relevance through a complete profile, you cannot move distance, and popularity accumulates from reviews, links and mentions.
Use the name on your sign and your filing
Under Google’s Business Profile guidelines, the profile name should be the one customers know from your sign, site and paperwork. Extra words in the name are forbidden and can get the profile suspended, so ‘Miami’, ‘best’ or a service keyword added to it is a risk with no upside.
A local number that reaches the business
Google prefers a local number to a central helpline where one exists, and does not allow numbers that forward callers somewhere other than the business itself. Any call tracking has to fit inside that rule.
Attributes that answer Miami questions
Google’s attributes help page lets a business identify as Latino-owned, Black-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned and more, and mark itself a small business if it makes less than $10 million a year. Choose the ones that are true; they can help a profile appear in searches for those attributes.
Categories and services that mirror your pages
Pick as few categories as honestly describe the business, and keep the profile’s services in step with the service pages on your site. Our free Business Profile audit scores a profile against a checklist and compares the name, address and phone number across listings you paste in; Business Profile optimization covers the full build.
Google is not the only listing an assistant may read. Bing Places and Apple Business keep their own business records, and keeping the name, hours and phone number identical across all three is a small job that removes a common source of wrong answers.
Hurricane season and your listings
The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with most activity between mid-August and mid-October and a peak around September 10, according to the National Hurricane Center. For a Miami business that means planning, every year, how hours and closures will be shown on the profile and the site.
Special hours for short closures
Google’s special hours help page says special hours are for temporary changes and for closures of up to six days in a row, so your regular hours stay intact. A two-day storm closure belongs here, set day by day.
Temporarily closed for longer ones
The same page says a business closed for seven or more days in a row, or for an unknown period, should be marked temporarily closed. Remember to reopen it; a profile left closed after the storm passes keeps telling customers you are shut.
Say on your site what the profile says
If the profile shows a closure, put the same notice on the home page and the contact page, in English and Spanish. A reader who finds the two disagreeing loses trust, and so does any software comparing them.
A storm routine that takes an hour a year:
- Before June 1: confirm at least two people can edit the Business Profile, and that the phone number on it reaches a person.
- Before June 1: write a short closure notice in English and Spanish that can go on the site, the profile and social accounts.
- When a closure is likely: set special hours day by day if you expect to be shut six days or fewer.
- If you will be closed seven days or longer, or you do not know for how long: mark the profile temporarily closed.
- After reopening: remove the closure, check hours, and post what changed, such as reduced menus or appointment-only service.
- After the season: read the questions customers asked during closures and answer the common ones on your site.
Reviews in two languages
Ask every customer the same way, in the language you served them in, never offer anything in return, and answer what people write in the language they wrote it. Google’s policy, the Federal Trade Commission’s rule and Florida law all point the same way.
What Google allows and forbids
Google suggests sending customers a review link or QR code and answering what they write. Its Maps contribution policy forbids paying for reviews in any form, discounts and freebies included, forbids discouraging bad reviews or asking only happy customers, and asks businesses not to pressure people at the counter or tell them what to write.
What the FTC rule covers
Federal rule 16 CFR Part 465, published in the Federal Register in August 2024, deals with fake reviews, buying positive or negative reviews, insider reviews, company-controlled review sites, review suppression and fake indicators of social media influence.
Florida’s deceptive practices law
Section 501.204 of the Florida Statutes makes unfair or deceptive acts in trade unlawful and tells courts to give great weight to how the FTC reads the same words. For a Miami business that is a second reason, beyond Google’s policy, to keep every testimonial real; questions about the statute itself are for your lawyer.
Specific reviews carry the most. A customer who writes that the technician fixed a leaking condo AC in Brickell in one visit and explained everything in Spanish has said more than a page of five-star ratings. Our guide to earning more Google reviews covers when and how to ask, and review management covers replies at volume.
Your Sunbiz record, your license and your profile should agree
In Florida the name you trade under is a public record. If that record, your license, your Business Profile and your website all show the same name, address and phone number, a reader or an assistant comparing them finds one business instead of three.
Fictitious names are registered
Florida’s Fictitious Name Act says a person may not do business under a name other than their legal name unless they first register it with the Division of Corporations. If customers know you by a brand name rather than the name of your LLC, register the brand name and use that one, spelled the same way, everywhere.
Sunbiz is where people check
Sunbiz, the Division of Corporations’ site, lets anyone look up a business and its filings. Make sure the name and principal address there match what your profile and site say, or explain the difference on your about page.
License numbers as text
The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s licensee search lets anyone look up a license by name, number, city or county or license type. Write your license number as text on the relevant pages, so a reader can check it and a crawler can read it. A badge image does neither.
Six details Miami buyers check before they pick up the phone, all of them cheap to add:
Questions about AI search in Miami-Dade?Talk to us about what answer engine optimization covers, what it costs and which parts of it nobody can promise.
Real estate pages under Florida’s advertising rule
Real estate is Miami-Dade’s most concentrated industry, and Florida Real Estate Commission Rule 61J2-10.025 sets what every licensee’s advertising must show. Answer-first pages for agents and brokers have to be written inside it.
The brokerage name, beside the contact details
The rule says all real estate advertisements must include the licensed name of the brokerage firm, and that on a website the brokerage name must sit next to, or immediately above or below, the point of contact information. An agent’s AI-friendly bio page is advertising and follows the same rule.
The agent’s registered name
Where an agent’s personal name appears, at least the last name must be used as registered with the Commission. Use that exact form on the site, in the profile and in directory listings, so all three describe the same licensee.
Law, health care and other licensed Miami firms
Licensed professionals in Miami can be as specific as AI answers reward, but they write inside their own rules. The answer-first page states credentials, scope and how fees are set, and leaves out promises a regulator would object to.
Lawyers
The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar include a full chapter, Chapter 15, on the Bar’s review of lawyer advertisements and solicitations, alongside the professional conduct rules in Chapter 4. A Miami firm’s practice pages and attorney bios are advertising, so they are drafted with that in mind. See law firm SEO.
Health care practices
Patients ask about plans, languages and availability. Those are safe, factual statements that help an assistant match a practice to a question. Clinical claims and before-and-after promises are where practices need their own compliance review. See healthcare SEO.
Trade, logistics and buyers outside the United States
Miami-Dade’s trade economy sells to businesses that are often abroad. Their questions are specific and commercial: which forwarder handles perishables to a given country, which distributor carries a brand, which broker clears a type of cargo.
Publish the lanes and the paperwork
PortMiami describes itself as the ‘Gateway of the Americas’ and promotes Foreign-Trade Zone No. 281 to shippers. A logistics firm that names its lanes, its zone or bonded services and the documents it handles gives an assistant concrete facts to quote.
Languages beyond English and Spanish
The Miami-Dade Beacon Council, the county’s official economic development organization, publishes its site in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Brazilian Portuguese. If you sell to Brazilian or Haitian buyers and can serve them in their language, a reviewed page in that language is worth more than another English blog post.
Restaurants, hotels and visitor businesses
Visitors ask assistants where to eat, stay and book by neighborhood and occasion. The businesses that get named state menus, prices, capacities and booking methods in plain text, in the languages their guests read.
Menus and rates as text
A menu that exists only as a photo or a PDF is hard for crawlers to read and impossible to quote. Put dishes, prices and dietary notes in HTML, and update them when they change.
Write for the visitor’s language
The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau publishes in nine languages, from Spanish and Portuguese to Japanese and Haitian Creole. A hotel or tour operator does not need nine, but should publish in the languages of the guests it actually books.
Miami press worth earning coverage in
Coverage in a Miami outlet that names your business and describes your work is the strongest corroboration you can earn. Approach reporters with something they can use: data you hold, a clear expert view, or a story about the city.
What a Miami reporter can use
Numbers from your own work, such as typical repair times after a storm or what condo buyers ask first, are more useful to a newsroom than a press release about a new hire. WLRN, Miami Today, the South Florida Business Journal and the Miami Herald each cover business in their own way; read what they publish before pitching. Our digital PR page explains how that kind of outreach works.
Spanish-language outlets
Diario Las Américas and el Nuevo Herald write for Spanish-speaking readers. A Spanish-language mention describes you to exactly the audience your Spanish pages serve, and gives an assistant a Spanish source that agrees with them.
Tech and startup coverage
Refresh Miami covers the city’s technology and startup community, with news, events and a jobs board. For a software or services firm selling to that community it is a natural place to be described.
Chambers, councils and directories in Miami-Dade
Membership directories and public registers repeat your name, address and category in places that are hard to fake. Join the ones your customers use, complete every field, and keep them identical to the profile.
| Organization or listing | What it is | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce | Business association founded in 1907; runs Leadership Miami and a member directory | Name, category and website match your profile |
| Miami-Dade Beacon Council | Official economic development organization for the county; site in four languages | Relevant if you sell to the target industries it lists |
| CAMACOL | Business association serving Florida’s small and medium-sized firms since 1965 | Spanish-speaking owners and trade with Latin America |
| Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce | Chamber with its own online member listing | Listing complete and current |
| Florida SBDC at FIU | Confidential, no-cost consulting for businesses with three or more employees or scalable new ventures | Advice, not a listing; useful before a big spend |
| BBB Serving Southeast Florida and the Caribbean | Business profiles and complaint records | Name, address and phone identical to your profile |
| Sunbiz | Florida Division of Corporations records | Legal and fictitious names as you use them |
Join where customers look, not everywhere
Twenty directory listings nobody reads add maintenance, not trust. Five that are accurate, complete and relevant to your customers do more, and each one is a place an inconsistent phone number can hide, so fewer is easier to keep right.
Roundups of Miami providers
Local articles that compare providers are worth approaching with checkable evidence, such as licenses, prices and examples of work. Never pay for placement in a list presented as independent.
What should a Miami business publish so assistants name it?
Publish the facts a buyer uses to decide, written as plain sentences on pages a crawler can read: what you do, where, in which languages, under which license, at roughly what price, and with what evidence.
One page per real service
Each service you want to be recommended for deserves its own page that opens with a direct answer: what it is, who it is for, the areas served, the price or how the price is set. Thin pages that list ten services in one paragraph give an assistant nothing to lift.
Evidence an assistant can repeat
Specific numbers from your own work, such as projects completed in Doral last year or the average wait for a new patient, are facts nobody else can supply. Publish them with the date and the basis, and keep them current.
Structured data that matches the page
LocalBusiness markup, described in Google’s structured data documentation, should repeat what the visible page says: the same name, address, hours and phone. Markup that disagrees with the page is worse than none; our schema and copy validator compares the two.
A page that says what you do not do
Name the work you turn down. An accounting practice in Doral that handles importers’ books but not household tax returns should write both halves. The ‘not’ sentence filters out mismatched referrals and lends weight to the ‘yes’ sentence.
What we would do for a Miami business, in order
The sequence published on our AEO page has six steps and reaches its first re-measurement in about ninety days. In Miami it runs scope, baseline, technical repair, restructured content, corroboration, and a second measurement against the first. Rewriting pages that crawlers cannot reach would waste the rewriting, so access comes before content.
Before we quote
We fetch your main templates without JavaScript, check robots.txt against the current list of AI crawlers and ask for server log access. Those tests decide the scope, which is why we do not quote before running them.
Scope and baseline
The scope call settles what you sell, who buys it and what they ask before buying. The questions become a prompt set agreed with you, and the baseline records where you appear now and who appears instead.
Technical repair
Crawler access, rendering and structured data that agrees with the visible page. A crawler block is usually a configuration change costing hours; a site that serves no text without JavaScript is a bigger job and is scoped as one.
Content restructuring
Answer-first rewrites of the pages that should be quoted come first, starting with the services that bring inquiries. Spanish versions of the same pages, each on its own URL, should be reviewed and approved by a fluent speaker before they go live.
Entity and corroboration
A single agreed wording for who you are and what you do, repeated exactly on the site, the profile and every listing that should match Sunbiz, then taken to Miami outlets and roundups with evidence attached. This is the slowest part and the one that compounds.
Who do the assistants recommend instead of you in Miami? We will run a baseline against your real buyer questions and show you who is being cited instead of you.
How long does AI SEO take in Miami?
Technical fixes usually show within days to a few weeks, structural content changes across one to two months, and corroboration and original-data work over three to six months. Ninety days is the first sensible horizon. None of these is a promise; they are the ranges we publish on our answer engine optimization page.
| Kind of change | Usually seen after | The sign to look for |
|---|---|---|
| Crawler access opened | 2 to 10 days | AI crawler hits in server logs |
| Answer-first rewrite | 3 to 8 weeks | The passage is quoted in assistant answers |
| Structured data corrected | 2 to 6 weeks | Richer, more accurate descriptions of the business |
| One business description used everywhere | 4 to 12 weeks | Assistants describe the business correctly |
| Corroboration built | 3 to 6 months | Mentions rise across assistants together |
| Original data published | 2 to 6 months | The business is quoted as the source |
Why the first reading takes patience
Crawler access shows in days, but how often assistants cite a business moves slowly and noisily, and a reading taken too early mostly measures chance. Our page on how long AEO takes sets out the reasoning.
What can slow a Miami project
Spanish pages waiting for review, a profile under suspension because of a keyword in the name, listings that disagree in five places, and a website platform that will not serve text without JavaScript. Each is fixable; each adds weeks.
How much does an AI SEO agency in Miami cost?
Published US price bands for this work put a one-off AEO audit at about $1,000 to $4,000 and small-business AEO retainers at $1,500 to $5,000 a month. Treat those as one published set of figures, not a market average and not our prices: Progression’s own published retainers begin at $1,500 a month, and every quote comes after a written scope.
| Engagement | Published band | What it usually covers |
|---|---|---|
| AEO audit, one-off | $1,000 to $4,000 | Ten to twenty hours of technical review |
| Strategy development | $1,500 to $6,000 | Fifteen to thirty hours of planning |
| Small-business AEO retainer | $1,500 to $5,000 a month | An audit, markup, five to fifteen pages and light tracking |
| Mid-market AEO retainer | $5,000 to $10,000 a month | Several platforms tracked, pages restructured, strategy calls |
| Enterprise AEO retainer | $10,000 to $20,000 or more a month | Whole-site work with bespoke dashboards and a team |
| Retainer | Monthly fee | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Small | $1,500 to $2,500 | A few hours weekly across technical, content and local work |
| Mid | $2,500 to $5,000 | A full program with genuine content production |
| Large | $5,000 to $10,000 | A multi-discipline team and higher content velocity |
How we price AI search work
We quote from the two facts that move the number: whether your templates render without JavaScript, and how many there are. We do not quote before running those tests, there is no per-keyword line and there is no guaranteed-citation clause. AEO retainers run on a six-month minimum term, because citation frequency gives no honest reading before then, and we do not work below about $1,500 a month. More on AEO pricing.
What moves a Miami quote
The number of page templates, whether they render without JavaScript, how many prompts are tracked in how many languages, and how many inconsistent listings need cleaning. A bilingual prompt set adds measurement work.
How we measure AI visibility for a Miami client
Against a fixed prompt set, monthly, in the assistants that matter to you. The prompt set, written in your buyers’ own words, is the part most often skipped and the part that matters most.
The prompt set and the six numbers
Sixty to two hundred real questions, agreed with you at the start. A business with many Spanish-speaking customers should make sure the set includes questions asked in Spanish. Each month we report the same six numbers: mention rate, citation rate, share of voice, referral sessions, answer accuracy and competitor movement.
Search Console, worth checking yourself
The Search Console performance report shows clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position for your pages in Google Search.
Business Profile performance
Inside the profile, the performance report lists the queries that surfaced the business along with calls, direction requests and clicks to the site. Paid and unpaid activity are counted together there, and the query list refreshes once a month.
Visibility only counts if it reaches the phone
Compare the six numbers with your own record of calls and inquiries. A Miami firm named in a hundred answers that never call is not yet a success.
Call tracking under Florida’s all-party consent rule
Florida’s interception law makes recording lawful when all parties to the call have given prior consent, so a tracked line that records calls must tell every caller before the conversation starts. Call tracking without recording avoids the question.
What the statute says
Section 934.03 of the Florida Statutes prohibits intercepting communications except as the chapter provides, and permits interception when all of the parties have given prior consent. A recorded greeting that announces recording, in English and Spanish, is the usual way to obtain it; your counsel should confirm the wording.
Tracking without recording
Many businesses only need to know which source produced a call, not what was said. A tracking number that counts and attributes calls without recording them answers the measurement question with less risk. Our guide to marketing analytics covers attribution more broadly.
Choosing an AI SEO agency Miami firms can check before signing
Choose the provider that tests before it quotes, shows you the prompts it will track, hands you the baseline, and refuses to guarantee a place in an AI answer. Every item can be checked before you sign.
| What to require | The test before you sign |
|---|---|
| Tests crawler access and rendering before quoting | Ask which user agents they will test, and whether they will fetch your pages with JavaScript off |
| Shows the prompt set, in your buyers’ languages | Ask for ten sample prompts written in your customers’ words |
| Hands over the baseline and the prompt list | Ask whether you keep both if the engagement ends |
| Has a plan for reviewed Spanish pages | Ask who reviews translations and how hreflang is handled |
| Knows Miami-Dade’s places | Ask which cities and unincorporated areas your pages should name |
| Follows Business Profile guidelines | Ask how they treat keywords in the business name; the right answer is ‘we do not’ |
| Reports the six numbers | Ask to see a sample monthly report |
| Makes no guarantee of AI placement | Ask directly; a guarantee should end the conversation |
Red flags in Miami proposals
A guaranteed spot in ChatGPT, a proprietary score presented as the outcome, more blog posts offered as the remedy for everything, a plan to add ‘Miami’ to your business name, and twenty city pages with the names swapped.
Does the agency need to be in Miami?
Not for this work. Crawler access, page structure, profile settings and measurement are done remotely. Local knowledge matters, and it comes from your customers and from research, which is why we ask so many questions about where and how you work.
Questions to ask on the first call
Six questions that separate real AEO work from relabeled SEO, each with an answer you can check.
- Which of our pages would you fetch with JavaScript switched off before quoting, and what will you do if the text is missing?
- How many prompts will you track, in which languages, and will the list and the baseline be ours?
- Which parts of our Business Profile break Google’s guidelines right now?
- Which Miami-Dade cities and unincorporated areas should our pages name, and which should they leave out?
- Who will review our Spanish pages before they go live?
- How will recorded calls tell callers they are being recorded, given Florida’s consent rule?
AEO agency Miami, GEO firm or AI SEO company: which label fits?
They describe the same job. AEO, GEO, LLM SEO and AI SEO are names for making a business easy for AI assistants to find, read and cite. What matters is the work behind the label, not which acronym is on the proposal.
Generative engine optimization in Miami is still SEO underneath
Generative engine optimization in Miami relies on the same crawlability, page quality and local signals as ordinary search, plus two newer habits: answer-first structure and measurement against prompts. Our comparison of AEO, GEO and LLM SEO covers the differences.
One budget, two reports
Splitting AEO and SEO into separate budgets usually means paying twice for the same technical work. Keep one program with one technical workstream, and report search rankings and prompt-set results separately so neither hides a weakness in the other.
A name with AI in it is not a method
Plenty of Miami firms now describe themselves as AI agencies. The label tells you nothing about whether they test crawler access, write answer-first pages or measure what assistants say. Ask to see the method.
What to ask instead of judging the name
Ask which crawlers they check, what a prompt set looks like, how they handle Spanish pages, and what a monthly report contains. A firm doing the work answers in specifics; a firm selling the label answers in adjectives.
Tools are not the service
AI visibility trackers are useful and some are inexpensive; our comparison of trackers lists what they cost. A tracker tells you what happened. The service is deciding what to change and making the change.
Ready for a written scope? We quote AI SEO work after testing whether your templates render without JavaScript and which AI crawlers can reach them, because those two facts decide the number.
When AI SEO is not the right first spend in Miami
If your site cannot be crawled, your profile is suspended, or you cannot answer the phone in the languages you advertise, fix those first. AI visibility multiplies what is already there; it does not replace it.
Fix the basics before buying anything
A free crawler check, a profile review and a JavaScript-off test take an afternoon and often reveal the main problem. If one of them fails, the fix is the first project, and it may not need an agency at all.
Very small or very new businesses
A new business with no reviews, no coverage and two pages has little for assistants to corroborate. Start with the profile, a few strong service pages and steady review requests; our AEO for small business guide sets out where to begin.
What we will not claim about Miami
Two statements that would help us win work and would not be true.
That we can place you in an AI answer
Nobody can, because attribution happens inside models no agency controls. What can be done is the work that makes a page a plausible source, measured each month against the same prompt set.
That we have a Miami office
We work from New York City. We will learn your market from you, from public data and from the questions your customers ask, and we will not pretend to be local.
Working with a New York agency from Miami
The work runs on shared access, a written scope and monthly reports, so distance changes little. Calls, screen shares and a shared prompt sheet cover what an office visit would.
What we need from you
Access to the website, the Business Profile and server logs; the questions customers ask; the places you serve; and a person who can approve Spanish pages. With those, most of the work needs no further meetings.
A Miami checklist for this week
Seven checks you can do without an agency, each of which either confirms you are ready or shows the first thing to fix.
- Open robots.txt and confirm OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and Claude-SearchBot are not disallowed.
- Load your main service page with JavaScript switched off and check that prices, hours and services still appear.
- Compare the business name on Sunbiz, your Business Profile and your website header, letter for letter.
- Write the languages your staff speak into the bios and the profile description.
- List the Miami-Dade cities and areas you really serve, and check them against your service areas.
- Ask five customers which question they would put to an assistant before hiring you, and write the answers down.
- Decide who will change your hours if a storm closes you, and give that person access now.
